Yacht Bright was established in Nick Yawer was unable to find reliable marine services locally to maintain his boat. Although the Potomac river area had an abundance of detailers, mechanics, and fiberglass repair people, none were found to offer the excellence he expected to care for his substantial investment.



He was looking for someone fully insured, reliable, experienced and trained in detailing boats with reasonable pricing. A detailer that went beyond just compounding or slapping a coat of wax on gel coat - he wanted a detailer that paid special attention to the unique needs of each and every boat. He looked for a marine mechanic that was reliable, available and did not charge an arm and a leg. He looked for someone to do a small gel coat repair job without charging him thousands of dollars. After trying several services that he found abysmal, he decided to start his own service, Yacht Bright was born. Over the last few years, Yacht Bright has expanded it's services by adding a new gel coat restoration program, bottom painting, vinyl graphics, boat names, a canvas shop, and a full mechanical and engine service department. Where possible we try to standarize and fix our prices so that customers know how much to expect to pay and offer great value. Currently we service the Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland and the Potomac River surrounding areas.
